Hello! Sorry this took a few days to answer, I wanted to make a little step by step guide for you! I work primarily in photoshop, and it’s super easy to add texture! I find textures online, and I will edit their colors in photoshop sometimes, but I will occasionally take photographs of things I find too. 1- make your lineart and flat layers2- bring in your texture, try weird things like leaves, rust, stone, wood, lace, fabric, gemstones, ect! Turn the texture layer to OVERLAY, and choose your opacity. If you want one texture over your entire drawing, your done at this step. If you’re like me and want multiple textures, select the spots you want the color. Selection is on the flat color layer. 3- with your selection of the flat color layer, click back onto the texture layer, and click the third little icon on the bottom of panel, the white square with the black circle. this will make a little mask layer so the texture is only where you want it!Thats it! Pretty simple. Hopefully this is easy enough to understand, please feel free to ask anything! Thanks and good luck!-rayne -- source link
