Quilted knitting bag: After my first drawstring knitting bag, I got the idea that it would be fun to make some more, for myself (for my own multiple knitting projects!) and also as gifts. I found an improv block in my sewing room that I had pieced together using some scraps from old projects. (I think these are mixed scraps from my pastel-coloured Polarity quilt and my Meadow quilt top - both from 2015!) I decided it might be fun to add some Essex Linen and then quilt the whole thing, to give it a bit of structure. I added some pockets on the inside again, one with a zipper and one without. I find that a zippered pocket is really helpful for a knitting bag - I am always misplacing little stitch markers and tapestry needles! The interior is the print from Tamara Kate that I used on the back of the JOY quilt I made earlier this year.I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I think the texture of the quilting gives it a bit more of tactile and visual interest. I think this one is going to be a gift! -- source link
