A few states (Maine and Minnisota) have passed Alecs Law, named after Alec Smith who died of insulin rationing shortly after his 26th birthday. This law means people can pick up a months supply of insulin for $35 if they do not have insurance, but they’re also currently getting sued by insulin manufacturers, pharma AND BEYOND TYPE ONE for those life saving laws because they don’t want to lose money.
