(For some reason, there’s a yellow tint on the video when you hover over it while it’s playing, so I’d recommend watching it on Youtube)INTP and Fe have an abusive mother-daughter relationship, with Fe warning INTP of nonexistent dangers in the social sphere in an attempt to keep her safe. INTP is currently in the grip, which gives Fe immense power over her mental landscape. This is reflected in the background, which depicts red-leafed trees (Fe) with a triangular motif (I generally depict INTP’s minds, and by extension, all Rationals’ minds with a geometrical motif), on a dark and hopeless background color (grey, to reflect the hopelessness of the grip).Fe’s design is based on a glamorous mother, with heavy autumn leaf motifs. An early sign of her maliciousness is the sharp edges in both her dress and hair. The leaves that appear and move around her resemble tentacles or chains, and I used them to show the subtle ways she’s manipulating INTP. In the beginning, the leaves act more like floating spores, gently influencing INTP. When INTP starts outright resisting though, everything changes. Fe’s color scheme darkens. The bright reds and oranges are gone. Her hair, resembling an autumn leaf in the beginning, now looks like a dead leaf. Her dress (which is marvellous, I’m very proud of Fe’s design.) turns from a royal red to bloody dark red. The leaves are no longer floating around aimlessly like spores. Now, they act like ropes, chains, snakes slowly tying themselves around INTP. As the musical number goes on, their amount increases, Fe using them to drown INTP, to cloud her vision, and in the final third of the number, the background is buried beneath a storm of leaves, turning darker and darker (as opposed to bright orange and pink in the beginning) to show Fe’s malicious side. As Fe makes her dramatic exit in a storm of leaves, she returns to her original colors, in an attempt to reclaim her innocence and good-naturedness in INTP’s point of view, retreating all of her leaves, leaving INTP alone in her desolated mind, planting the illusion that Fe was the one bringing color in her mind, and that INTP needs her. This is Fe at it’s worst - emotionally manipulative, socially paranoid, and encouraging self-hatred. -- source link
