#ShikigamiOni - Yamabushi. Yamabushi are monks that seek enlightenment and personal growth by isolating themselves in deep mountainous areas. In the Yokai realm, however, some lose themselves and become corrupted; seeking to harness the power of the Yokai for themselves. Forging unholy deals with all manner of spirits, a Yamabushi may return from their isolation twisted and a menace to society.——This one was pretty fun to draw. The Oni depicted with this character was a reference to the story of Shuten Doji, a powerful ogre king, who even after he was decapitated still tried to bite his assailants.
