when filming of the hobbit was announced i vowed to never watch it, because i really love the book and the trailer kind of screamed “avoid it at all cost”, at least to me. but eventually curiosity (and an assurance from a trusted fellow tolkien appreciator) lulled my vigilance and well, while it was a rather facepalm-y take on the story it was also a PRETTY DARN AMAZING DWARVEN FASHION SHOW ahem. dwarves are hella cute, have a couple of dumb doodles i made to celebrate it.
