glimmerspiral lore post?!?!?!?!?!it may or may not get pretty dark, containing incest, murders, mentions of torture, sex (briefly and once), adultery and suchIt’s them! They are children of Queen Waterfall who ruled the seawing tribe more than 500 years before the events of arc 1.Undine is the oldest princess and the angriest one, kinda like Tsunami except more categorical and brutal. She never had to worry about any potential rivals for the throne since both her sisters were too scared of her to even think of challenging her (it’s not like she was actively bullying them, she just had that menacing, unsettling vibe to her). She is aloof and hates any ceremonies, preferring training. She also enjoys fighting and that’s why, when she became queen, she parted her ruling duties with the job of a general, while her husband was in charge of the council meetings, paperwork and such. She became the queen at the age of 21 and got a magic trident as a coronation gift from her sister Siren. The trident has the ability to control any clear water near it and was held dear by the new queen, both as a powerful weapon and a memory of Siren.Undine had never understood her feelings well and, due her lone attitude, never had any friends (asides from her siblings (specifically Kelpie)) and, obviously, lovers. So, after all of her siblings (minus Typhon) had abandoned her in various ways, she mistook her desire to ensure that Typhon won’t leave her, too, for love and married him (he was more that fine with being a king so he got along with it).She is later killed in a revolution organized by her adopted daughter/niece Chartreuse. If Undine had a book it would be named “Rising Tides”.***Leviathan is the oldest prince and is the same age as Undine. He is an animus and had enchanted a few artifacts for Waterfall (they are long gone by the start of arc 1). He is quiet, thoughtful and rather poetic, though nobody knows about the latter. Due to his magic his mother actively tried to marry him. This eventually made him not attracted to *normal-looking* females in both romantic and sexual way. However, Leviathan had noticed that, from the very childhood, he had been attracted to dragons with congenital deformities. He pitied those with permanent injuries, but was fascinated with those who were born *different* (at least, whose differences were clean to see). One day he met a dragon named Lamprey, who was born in a place named Abysmal Town, which is located far deeper than anything in the Kingdom of the Sea. This way of life, obvioulsy, couldn’t’ve gone without consequences, thus heavily altering Lamprey’s appearance. Many dragons would consider her hideous, but Leviathan was in awe. They had quickly become lovers and Leviathan enchanted an earring to make everyone except him see Lamprey as a normal beautiful seawing and introduced her to his mother. She reluctantly accepted her since Leviathan refused to marry anyone else and was the only (she doesn’t know, she lacks critical information) animus in the family. But one day, a year before Undine’s coronation, he and Lamprey had escaped to the Abysmal Town. Its population was slowly but surely reducing and only a miracle could save them. Lamprey, luckily, had found this miracle in the face of her lover, who would do anything for her, and convinced him to move to the Abyss. Its residents were rather happy to have an animus in their town and allowed him to mate with all their females to raise the possibility of new animi being born. Spoiler: new animi were born.If he had a book it would be named “Going Down/Deeper”.***Siren is the middle princess. She is a year younger than Undine and Leviathan and is a secret animus. She has light-headed and dreamy personality and would often fantasize about anything and everything. This part of her personality allowed her to discover her powers before anyone else. She kept them secret since she never liked being bossed around. Her life was pretty average for a princess (aside from a few assasination attempts, but it’s a rutine for a princess who is considered useless by the councilors). She never wanted to rule and wanted to be a singer instead. She even enchanted herself a seashell necklace to make her voice loud and beautiful.Princess followed Leviathan’s steps as she escaped from the kingdom right after Undine’s coronation, fearful of what’s to come. Lastly, she revealed to Undine that she was an animus all along and gifted her with a trident. She then found a cave and turned herself into a statue for five hundred years, hoping that, by that time, Undine won’t be present.Five hundred years later she awakens, but keeps a low profile, a few days later, however, being involved into mysterious shenaningans involving an egocentric hybrid brat, a scavenger turned dragon and Leviathan’s descendant, who is also an animus. She later has two animus dragonets with the latter. If she had a book it would be named “Charms of the Sea”.***Typhon is the youngest prince and is is two years younger than Undine and Leviathan.I can’t say much about him except that he is a snobby intelligent brat who enjoys chemistry and, specifically, creation of various poisons. He even had his own guinea pig to test them on! (but it’s not important, he’s not important.)He had the most distant relationship with Undine, but the loss of their other siblings brought them closer. When Chartreuse started the revolution, he had commited suicide by drinking the poison from the flask he had always wore on his neck specifically for occasions like this.If he had a book, it wouls de named “Toxic Swirls”.***Kelpie is the youngest princess, four years younger than Undine and Leviathan. She has extremely pessimistic personality. She is also quite egocentric and capricious and isn’t used to moments when anything has nothing to do with her. She would often point out her status as a princess to get what she wants. Oddly enough, she was the one to have closest relationship with Undine, the latter often protecting her from any dangers. She also has an attraction to dragons from other tribes which she goes along with. She had started a relationship with Ascidian, a young, but promising councilor who Waterfall was quite fond of. At first, their relationship were fine, good even. However, with a flow of time Kelpie’s personality started to get worse since Ascidian was really obedient with her, thus unknowingly pampering her ego. She would often go and mate with other dragons without hiding nor addressing it. Fights started to happen. One of them had resulted in Ascidian killing Kelpie in a fit of rage and then fleeing. This happened right before Undine’s coronation. If she had a book, it would be named ??? idk. any ideas?***While Siren wasn’t aware of this and never will be, Undine and Typhon were furious and, without proper investigation, accused Ascidian of murder (really lucky guess, huh). They, after some time, found Ascidian and then tortured him for a few months until he died.During that, they accidentally found out that Kelpie and Ascidian had an egg (the latter will never know of that). After a short debate they decided to adopt it as a memory of Kelpie.Later a female dragonet hatched, it was decided to name her Chartreuse. While both parents didn’t really like her, Undine seeing Ascidian in her and Typhon not liking kids generally, getting rid of her would really be an unforgivable waste, so they reluctantly raised her. Chartreuse will never find out what happened to her father. She then meets a rebellion leader named Algae and quickly falls for him. He then persuades her to join his group and eventually lead it in a revolution. She agrees and, during revolution, personally kills Undine, thus officially becoming a new queen.Any questions? -- source link
