Boxers Fresco at Akrotiri on Santorini (c. 1700 BC).The red colouring used to depict the boxers suggests that they are probably boys. Each wears a belt and loincloth, and a boxing glove on the right hand. Their hair is long with some shaved parts, which is a sign of youth. The boy on the left is wearing a lot of jewellery, while the other boy wears none. They may be taking part in a ritual match, rather than a competitive one. -- source link
