Finally finished what I was working on for this character.There’s two characters here and I don’t have names for either of them. I’ve got basic backstories, but no names. So for now I’ll call the clown demon CD and the guy, angsty teen, AT. CD is a sleep paralysis demon that’s not very good at his job. He based his appearance on a clown because he thinks they’re scary. He can change his hair, skin, and eye color. The first picture is his original appearance before he went clown mode. He was a very low ranked demon that was stuck with a very low ranked job. (Idk what I haven’t fleshed out the world much yet) He’d been doing his job for eons and was sick and tired of it, so one year he decides “new year, new me” and applies for a sleep paralysis position. He gets the job, but has never had any experience doing anything other than his last job, so he ends up not being very good at it. He thinks clowns are scary so he makes that his whole thing, like his whole approach to it is just CLOWN.Sleep paralysis demons I guess sort of haunt people in their sleep, scare them, try to make them paranoid, demoralize them through fear, or try to steal their soul or something, I don’t know I haven’t really worked out their whole purpose yet. CD, has been stuck haunting this same kid for years. AT was a little scared at first, then sort of curious, because this funny looking clown kept showing up in his dreams. Then, annoyed because this clown has been showing up during his sleep paralysis and sometimes just standing in the corner, sometimes just staring right at him, sometimes hanging out on the ceiling, or sometimes actually trying to scare him for years. He’s been seeing this clown for as far back as he can remember. So by the time he’s in his late teens he is so fed up with it. (CD has also become fed up , he thought this job was a new start, but after years with no results he’s started to wish he’d of never left his old job.)I haven’t really figured out AT’s whole situation yet, but he lives in some sort of abusive household. I don’t know what type, if it’s his parents, parent, or what. But he has a really bad homelife and that’s why he sort of miserable most of the time. That and the clown demon haunting him. He really starts to hate CD over the years. His life already sucks but he also has to have this ridiculous looking clown demon haunting him almost every night for years. He feels like he can’t fix anything else in his life, so he decides he’s going to do something about the clown. He decides he’s going to learn to lucid dream or astral project and fight the clown irl. After many many  tries, it ends up working. He goes to sleep super early, astral projects out of his body, and waits for CD to show up. When he does, AT attacks. What I imagines is a pretty funny fight scene occurs. But it all goes wrong when, while trying to strangle CD to death, AT wakes up, which somehow results in him pulling CD into the human world with him. (I don’t know how this works but I just need it to for the plot to happen) They’re both panicking now. CD is way out of his element, all he wanted was a new job. Since he worked the same job for eons he knows very little about anything. He was failing the sleep paralysis job because he was so inexperienced with life outside of his old occupation. And now his in the human world and has no idea what to do. And AT now has a hyperventilating demon in his room, how’s he gonna explain this to anyone. He’s kind of lost the motivation to kill CD now, but he also has no idea what to do. Once they’ve both calmed down, they make a disguise for CD, some of AT’s old clothes and a hat. CD,changes his skin, hair and eyes to as close to human as he can. Then they go to search for a way they can get CD back to the demon realm. (idk maybe they go to an old library or something or seek out someone who know about supernatural stuff) But CD starts to not want to go back. He was never happy there, and being in the human world is very freeing. He’d have to be a way higher rank to even have a chance of being her. So he wants to explore and experience this world while he’s here.  So AT ends up being pulled along on all sorts of adventures. Some comedic, some scary, some sad. And he starts not wanting CD to go back either. They meet new people and make some friends along the way. AT didn’t really have any friends before and he never expected he’d make friends with the clown who’d been haunting him all these years. But he now finds himself with a whole group of friends because of him. (I haven’t designed them yet)CD’s absence isn’t noticed in the demon realm for a while, since no one ever pays much attention to what he does. But he makes a few mistakes in the human realm that end up alerting attention to higher ups in the demon realm. They send someone to retrieve him and while CD, AT  and gang are trying to escape them they end up making some revelations about CD’s past. (but I haven’t finished those designs yet) I haven’t really decided what happens in the end. AT’s situation at home is eventually resolved. I don’t know if CD goes back or stays.
