Alright lovelies, I’ve gotta make a bit of a PSA. So bear with me. Do you like watermarked images? I sure don’t. I think it ruins the integrity of the photo and distracts from the actual subject matter. I don’t want to start watermarking my images, much less provide you with watermarked images because I find them to be sub-par and you deserve the best. I also like to keep my rates as low as possible so it’s easier for you to work with me, and for us to have a lovely photographic experience together. However, my photography is my business. It’s how I feed myself, my little mutt, how I keep a roof over my head, keep my car running, and how I can afford to travel to the places where we want to shoot. Please know that this is not always the case, but I keep seeing people posting photos I have taken and not crediting me. Normally I wouldn’t have a problem with this, but when people don’t know where photos I’ve taken are coming from, they can’t book me for shoots - so even though you aren’t doing it on purpose, you are potentially losing me clients, and therefore funding that allows me to a) live and b) keep my rates as low as possible. Unless a client specifically says “bro, don’t credit me”, I try my best to make sure that everyone knows exactly who my wonderful subject was in each of my photos. I would really appreciate it if you could do the same for me!But Isabel, you say, you haven’t told us what to use as a credit! Probably the easiest thing to do is credit Isabel Dresler Photography. It’s quick and easy, and potential clients can then find their way over to my site, and booking information. If you want to include my URL (www.isabeldresler.com) that’s sweet too, but not as necessary. I don’t want to make anybody feel bad, this is just a friendly reminder. Thanks guys! -- source link
