prisonicfairytales: 3D models presenting a 60-year-old male with a penetrating traumatic brain injury by a firearm — imagery depicts the bullet entry orifice cutaneous and bone surfaces. The victim had sustained a single handgun shot to the skull, at an extremely close range, execution-style. The main bullet pathway was recognized by bone fragments, shrapnel, and blood from the top downward at the right occipital side. A ricochet of a piece of the bullet was identified by a blood track run out in the left temporal region. However, no exit wound was located. Trajectory from the crown to downward isn’t ideal for a self-inflicted gunshot. Bone table inward or outward beveling is a common characteristic of the entry/exit wound. In this model, outward beveling didn’t occur, as the bullet consumed its kinetic energy converging the skull. -- source link
