I logged in to Tumblr last night, just in time to see that My Marjorie Lee Browne portrait illustration made yesterday’s Tumblr Radar. So exciting! Thanks so much to the Radar folks and to everyone who liked and reblogged! There are so many instrumental black and/or female figures who have been overlooked by our historical canon. I’m so happy I could help people learn a little about one of them. I hope that what people take from this is that there are a whole hell of a lot of cool people out there who we never learn about in school. Thanks to the Internet, you can easily go forth and learn about them and then share your findings with the world!P.S.: A math teacher approached me about purchasing a print of this illustration for her classroom.
