kiose:my wrist has been a bit sore and I’ve been busy with things (and also the shadowverse event in SIF and global SIFAS but shhhhh). But! I just had this impulse to draw clingy/possessive Chika and decided to not hold the feeling backApologies for the sketchy lines, didn’t want to strain my wrist too much but my self-restraint couldn’t stop me from drawing #cute….so cute….#but also for the love of god op stop#take a break#also remember to stretch!!! stretching is super important!!!!!#kids please learn and respect your limits At first I was just gonna thank ya for your concern and assure ya that I’m ok and all despite how I made it sound…But then I realized that I probably needed to explain myself or risk setting a terrible example to other artists and I just can’t let people think it’s ok to draw even when your wrists are in pain.I already have wrists problems (that started way before I started drawing more seriously). No matter how much I strech (which I do, a lot) my wrists tend to become sore from time to time even if I’m not doing anything (and if I’m not careful while they’re sore they get swollen and hurt a lot), so of course I do whatever I can to keep them from getting to that extreme. When I drew this, I wasn’t in any pain or soreness I was just being careful so the soreness wouldn’t come back. This drawing took a long time cause I was drawing very slowly and the lines aren’t clean cause I was drawing with a brace that makes it awkward to hold a pen or move the arm (if I had drawn without the brace I might have been able to draw something cleaner quicker maybe…)So, I wasn’t trying to imply that I was overworking my wrists and drawing despite the unconfortableness, it was more like I was complaining that I wanted to draw so much that I decided to draw while wearing a brace and being extra careful with my wrist (which translates to this scketchy drawing that wasn’t as quick or as clean as I would have wanted). If any artist is reading this! Please make pauses to stretch at least once every hour, even if you’re not tired or even if your wrists feel fine. Drawing with shitty wrists that require a lot of cares sucks a lot and I do not recommend it.Take care of your wrists pls!! -- source link
