A good friend of mine got me involved in this pretty cool project with the guys over at ’The Space Merchant’, where every month they publicly screen some of the most iconic retro sci-fi flicks, & invite a selected artist to create a re-design of the original film poster to be used as promotion. The posters are then made available as prints for the audience to buy on the day or online; generating a little revenue for the artist & the organizers (which is always nice). The film I was presented with was ’Rollerball’ [1975], staring James Caan. I hadn’t seen the film before, but was familiar with & always a fan of the original poster… I’ll be at the screening of the film on the 17th; if you’re free, come on down… Here’s the re-designed poster I came up with for the show. -M- -- source link
