our final English project was to make a pitch for a Disney movie! But we needed to base it on a myth/legend/folktale from a culture that Disney has not represented very much. Or at all. So as a Japanese person, I decided to go with the Japanese version of the tale of The Rabbit in the Moon! While turning it into a Tale of Genji style story about fighting and bigotry and culture and what happened during the end of the Heian period. It was honestly a lot of fun, and I love these three characters I created very much. -- source link
