My last finish of 2021 has arrived at its destination!These patterns are the Amicable Number Bookmarks by Suzza Silver of Beautyofmathematics.com, and I’ve wanted to stitch a pair for so long– I think the idea behind them is brilliant! 220 and 284 are a pair of numbers with a special relationship: if you add up all the proper divisors of 220, you’ll get 284, and if you add up the proper divisors of 284, they make 220– perfectly symmetrical! A pair of numbers with this property are called ‘Amicable Numbers’, and so they make for a perfect friendship gift. :) I made one bookmark for my friend @i-ddpej, and kept the other for myself.The thread used is some old DMC Rayon I had in my stash– that line is discontinued now, but I like the shine and feel of it. I also stitched a not-insignificant amount of the patterns by campfire light, so some sections are very (very!) off-model. -- source link
