#inktoberday4 woop woop! Today I chose my main prompt from #orientober by @nadiarausa which was ‘Sun and Moon,’ coupled with another random entry from ‘The Woman’s Dictionary of Symbols & Sacred Objects’, which today was ‘knot’! I had to do a proper think today because I really wanted to avoid drawing anthropomorphic Sun/Moon characters! With ‘knot’ I was focusing on the balancing, merging or tying together of possible opposites or either side of a dichotomy. I love drawing hands sooo much, ‘handfasting’ is a thing obviously, fingers have planetary rulers, & it meant I could sneaky do a bit of planning for my next hand tattoos Also I love knot magic. I think because I’m more a visual-maker-creature than an actor or a theatrical creature I prefer folk magic which includes making ‘things’ over ceremonial magic.
