markgatissappreciationsociety:So @lavenderandvanilla made this week’s Gatiss Wednesday about mustaches, and @bookcasewraith posted a lovely GIF that turned out to be from Dad’s Army, a 2016 movie version of a 1970s sitcom about the Home Guard during WWII. Which meant, of course, I had to go watch it! There is a good amount of Mark in uniform, of course, as he plays Colonel Theakes. (The stars of the movie also include Toby Jones, Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon, Bill Paterson, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.) He spends a lot of time on the phone. But he wears some nice clothes while doing so. I’m particularly fond of the golf outfit with the flat cap and check blazer, although we only see this much of it. Tomorrow I’ll do more with the tux. -- source link
