Extremists tend to completely misread the intentions of an ideology, or to concentrate on specific details while ignoring other parts that contradict their interpretation. It’s not always true (although presumably it sometimes is) to say that extremists are the “one true interpretation” of an ideology. Furthermore, it is not the job of people who believe in the mainstream interpretation of an ideology to police the fringes. Although maybe as an atheist, this opinion is self-serving.The beliefs and practices of Jainism are not beyond criticism. -- source link
