This horse. . I’ve cried tears over him. I’ve cussed over him. And I’ve considered tanking him more times than I can count. . But I can’t bring myself to do it. He’s taught me countless lessons. . The current one being: if you treat him like he’s a feral horse that would sooner stomp you than get along with you, he’s gonna act like that. . He will never be gentle. But he can learn that I mean him no harm and that we can be friends. And maybe that’s the reason I still have him . Treat them (horses and humans) how you want them to be. If we want a kid to be good, we gotta treat ‘em like they’re good. If we treat them like they’re a bad kid?
