This is derived from the Framingham criteria for congestive heart failure. It hasn’t scanned very well, but the ones highlighted yellow are major criteria, while the ones with brackets around them are minor criteria. Diagnosis of CCF requires two major criteria, OR one major plus two minor. Additional notes: A raised serum BNP (>100nm/L), an abnormal ECG (any abnormality really, it’s very rare to have a completely normal one in heart failure), plus LV dysfunction on echo are the investigation findings of choice for confirming heart failure. -- source link
