Cleaned up the sketch so I figured I could put some information under this and make my boy a cute little profile.Harumi Tanaka 田中春海Birthday: July 1stBirthplace: Hokkaido, OtaruLikes: nishin zuke (pickled herring)Dislikes: sweet fruitsHeight: shorter than Kadokura / about the same height as the Nikaidou twins and Kantarou / taller than Tsukishima Weight: Lighter than Toni / about the same weight as Koito / heavier than Ogata, the Nikaidou twins, Usami, and Wilk—Harumi Tanaka is the son of a herring fisherman (perhaps even Mr. Herring Magnate from the manga I’m still on the fence). He joined with the imperial army in order to earn the pride of his father. The stunt did little to impress him and their relationship became strained. Within the troops, he tended to try and befriend the meanest, scariest men as a way of keeping them off his back. It could also be useful to be on the good sides of men that others feared.He got the nickname umineko (seagull) to tease him when it got out that he had a nasty little habit of stealing unwatched food. It turned out he squawked just like one when he was beat for his offense. (Use of the name tends to shut him up.)After the end of the war having seen horrors and still unhappy with his father, it was no surprise that Tanaka stuck around with the 7th Division. In fact like many of the other men, he had become quite enamored with Lt. Tsurumi. :^)—For interactions with canon characters…I see him friendly with Nikaidou (Youhei) and Usami.He is on okay terms with Nikaidou (Kouhei).He is not so friendly with Tanigaki (too passive) and Ogata (too mean).Anyone else is a much higher rank and he would struggle with that power imbalance. Rather, he tries to be respectful and a good little soldier. Doesn’t mean he always succeeds though…I don’t see him having any non combat interactions with Hijikata’s squad and similar with Sugimoto’s. Though it’s possible with the latter. Idk I’ve not given it a lot of thought.Anyway.Thank you for reading all that. I hope you like my dumb child and if you have an oc maybe they can be friends or enemies or whatever.
