It was calming to finish this dinnerware set this week and send it off to its new home. I have struggled mentally this week, worrying about those losing jobs, kids going without meals, friends who are immunocomprimised, my own business future uncertainty… but grounding myself in pottery practice and walks outdoors have helped bring moments of sanity within the storm. Every day I look at my seedlings in the basement, breaking through their shell, pushing through their dirt covering to emerge with their first leaves, then stretching their green bodies toward the light and growing taller each hour. I admire those of you who have pushed through this week with energy and positivity. I appreciate seeing your posts and admire your fighting spirit. I know I should probably be pumping out videos and stories and getting stuff posted online for sale, but ~~~ sometimes I move way slower and have to crawl through the dust before I make my way to the sunshine. Maybe I’m one of those seeds that needs more warmth and time to germinate, but I will push through the dark earth eventually. For now, I keep working in my quarantine, waiting to push through my shell and send my leaves to the sun. Wherever you are in the process, I send you much love and warmth (at Twisp, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-DH4ciDJEf/?igshid=7kz251y9v77u -- source link
