So making these end of year round up things has become a tradition of mine and it feels like just yesterday I made last year’s - 2018 just FLEW by. It was a bloody fantastic year for me, personally tho. So much happened.And so here’s a list of amazing things that happened in 2018 (in order of where the photos looked good on the Tumblr preview…from top left)1- I got a literary agent! A crucial step in starting my writing career. (Also my agent is the sweetest person ever)2- Achieved my lifelong deal of getting a BOOK DEALLLLLL - MY BOOK IS OUT IN 2019 PEOPLE AAAAH.3- Got some rights deals for my book - including a very exciting pre-empt in Italy.4- I FRICK FRACKING MET COLLEEN HOOVER (i.e. my favourite author EVAH)5- I graduated yet again 6- As part of my degree, we produced an anthology which featured my work and does it not just look deliciously pretty in print?7- I met Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli! Both were adorable and both loved my fan art.8- Katherine Webber held this amazing YA Prom book launch, where I got to meet some fellow 2019 debut authors 9- I GOT A NEW JOB! My dream of working for the NHS is happening!10 - DFTBA started selling another one of my designs!2018 was just a freaking amazing year. But it seemed to be mostly about anticipation - so a lot of things were building up to things that are due to happen in 2019.I’m so freaking excited for 2019, but I’m also TERRIFIED about my book becoming a real thing, about people…reading it?!
