schweizerqualitaet: Hear me out guys. you know what would be a grrrrrrreaaat idea ?B&T reintroducing the MR93. B&T has a long story of picking up old designs and making them fabulous again, and I’ve got some serious points to make :– revolvers are back in fashion– revolver are always cool, fashionable or not– no Swiss revolvers manufactured for far too long– the MR93 was an excellent revolver, which just needed a little bit of kink-ironing (the failing cylinder release system is identified and was corrected on the 96) but didn’t get the chance to prove itself, with everyone going after polymer wondernines– the MR93 was especially designed to limit the number of hand fitting tasks, and is easy to produce on CNC machines for relatively cheap– it’s modular (grips and barrels are easily interchangeable)– it’s perfectly in harmony with the Swiss tradition of ugly-beautiful guns– it should be easy for B&T to get the manufacturing license from Chapuis for cheapIdeally, Morini and Trausch grips should be reintroduced, and the classical range of barrel lengths (3″, 4″, 6″) too, with fixed or adjustable sights, with the standard hammer or a bobbed one, with a steel frame or an aluminium one. I’m dreaming here, but a variant with shortened frame and cylinder, similar to the Korth Sky Marshall and shooting 9x19 could be nice.A reliable B&T 93/20 .357 Magnum, with aluminium frame, fixed sights, sloped-Morini grips and bobbed hammed would be a great self-defense pistol to carry or to keep at home.So if you think the best revolver in the world should rise again, it’s too bad B&T doesn’t have a tumblr, and I really don’t have much klout on instagram, but you should petition B&T about it. -- source link
