peppercornpress: I couldn’t pick just ONE fic…hope that’s ok…and yeah a lot of them are Japanese NaruHina fics…but they’re my fav… 1. 花から始まる物語 by Ｋ(Inspired me to write: Call Her Mine, The Red Scarf.) I’m not joking when I say–I read this fic at least…once a month? It’s a NaruHina love story where they get together a little after the war. Naruto is healing from his arm-surgeries…and Hinata is there for him and ugh….it’s just so pretty and romantic and pure. Hinata totally sweeps Naruto off his feet in the cutest way possible–with flowers, and bentos, and her sweet words of encouragement. 2. White Lilies by @dayseternal-blog This is the fic that made me want to go back into writing english NaruHina fics… I was so floored by how creative it was bringing a Hanahaki theme into the Naruto-verse and being able to execute it so well!??? I’m also a sucker for NaruHina angst, and there are so many scenes that show just how much Naruto and Hinata are great for each other before they’re ever even together and that was such a surprising and satisfying portion of the overall story. I love to re-read this–BEAUTIFULLY written. I honestly feel bad that I get to read this whenever I want for FREE. This fic will make you feel spoiled.3. because I love you by みどり虫Midorimushi is AMAZING She writes my favorite modernAU NaruHina fics, my favorite NaruHina smut, my favorite NaruHina comedy fics. This story linked above is just…ONE of her canon-divergent AU NaruHina fics where the Last doesn’t happen and follows a SUPER oblivious Hinata and poor Naruto having to ask her out over and over and over again. Honestly? This fic sorta reads like a continuation of the epic NaruHina classic written by EmmyKay; ‘A Prior Engagement’. It’s romantic, funny, and there are also serious moments in this fic too. Really well-rounded story-telling you can expect from a LEGEND.4. チクタク・囁きは波のように by mamuMamu is one of those writers that properly explores how NaruHina would work as a long-time couple. She’s also the author that inspired me to start illustrating along with my fics? Mamu knows how to write NaruHina fights SO WELL. I think as a NaruHina fan, I’m always so baffled when people call this couple boring–and that’s specifically because I’ve read so many NaruHina fics written by Mamu. lol. I know in canon, Kishimoto even says they’re a couple that rarely fight–but when they do? I bet it’s a lot like Mamu’s fanfics. They bicker–and their fights always end on an affectionate note. *chef’s kiss!*5. Rules of Engagement by MissWordedKinda throwback, but MissWorded’s NaruHina fics are still so solid. I remember back when I was still going by my old account name, her and shamywong’s fics were my go-to NaruHina fluff-fics? Solid writing, really great dialogue, and a sprinkling of political stuff that shows that she really knows the Naruto-canon-world really well? Still love revisiting the older NaruHina fan community’s works. -- source link
