Three years ago, the publisher I had a book deal with folded out of the blue. I found out via Twitter. Two years ago, I published it anyway. Today, the fifth book in the series went live, and it simultaneously feels like it’s been an eternity and no time at all. . I came to writing late in the game, at least, it feels that way. I’d been writing research papers and poetry as long as I can remember, but after a few teachers said my fiction wasn’t any good, I stopped trying. I ended up on a long train with no WiFi (the horror) and sketched out a book plot. Now here I am and it’s so deeply important to me that it makes my face hurt. . I know most of you aren’t here for this, and for that I can only say sorry for throwing it in your face again.
