Well i almost forgot to post what i ended up making with that Florentine/Bargello piece i finished a while back. Honestly, if I could go back in time and tell young me that someday I’d enjoy making throw pillows, going to needlepoint stores, and that I’d have a somewhat unhealthy obsession yarn, I think young me would tell old me to F@#K OFF, all the while knowing that young me would silently get it, but wouldn’t want to ruin his Punk Rock, Hessian reputation or at least have “punk points” taken away… Tho i gotta admit it’s actually really fun going to needlepoint stores when you’re a 6'4", 215 pound guy, with tattoos on his face, and having all the Boomin’ Grannies love the fact that I even know what I’m talking about… It’s like getting my own room filled with sweetness and love! Hahaha! Plus they always tend to cut loose and even say a swear word or two (only while covering their whispering mouths tho, of course…) Anyways, here I am rambling on about a bunch o silliness! I hope everyone’s well and I’ll be driving home to Nashville on Wednesday and getting back to my leatherwork! Gotta say tho, I definitely like Tucson and all it has to offer, especially the books stores, fabric shops, real thrift stores filled with junk that hasn’t been plundered by hipsters, and the wealth of Mexican food everywhere!
