jumping-girl-juliet: My fellow Tobikkos–Well, thankfully we can all take a collective deep breath again! WHEW! I’m so glad our boys have finally come forward to discuss this with us. We’re so fortunate to be fans of such an amazing group! I know there will be the instinct to read a lot into that video and to maybe project some of our own fears onto it, but I’m going to urge everyone to take a moment to consider what the boys did today and most importantly why they did it.The first thing of note is that they were all dressed very subdued, their body language and postures all conveyed the seriousness of this situation, and how formally Keito spoke, the somber attitude of all of the members (which is a direct contrast to our sparkling idols we know and love)–all of these things are there to convey to all of us that they KNOW this will hurt the fans even if it’s a relief at the same time. I feel they approached this the way they did, almost as if in mourning, because they realize that despite this being a wonderfully positive opportunity for Keito, and also long-term a fantastic development for JUMP–they know in their hearts that nothing will be the same while he is gone. They know that WE as a fandom will suffer from his absence. This video was meant to convey to each and every one of us that they UNDERSTAND we are going to suffer–because so are they. They are being careful to share their own hearts so that we can know that they realize we are going to feel the loss acutely–and in an effort to be sure they acknowledge our collective feelings I think they knew they needed to approach this with a serious nature that appeals to how THEY TOO are being affected. All of them were very somber and the phrasing of everything was very formal to make sure the feelings they had came across very clearly, and that there could be no misunderstanding that we will ALL BE IN THIS TOGETHER AS WE WAIT–they don’t want us to think THEY are unaffected–because that’s simply not true, they more than us in all truth, are undoubtedly affected. They ARE.The worst thing JUMP could have done today for any of us would have been for them to all be their happy, normal, sparkling selves. If they’d appeared being very happy and bubbling and all of that I would be devastated right now. I would believe in my heart that Keito would not be returning. I would have the impression that JUMP DID NOT CARE at all about him being gone and that they weren’t going to miss him at all. Instead, they showed us that they were all sad and affected, that they’re struggling with this decision, but at the same time, they’re telling us the truth–that they want nothing more than for him to be successful, that this thing is about making Keito a better person, letting him go so that he can become who he’s meant to be–and then return even stronger to JUMP after. JUMP is his family. He is most certainly returning. What we were given today is the most beautiful gift that those boys could EVER GIVE US. The truth. They didn’t try to pretend it wasn’t a big deal, or cover up their own personal feelings with laughter and jokes and their own special brand of “JUMP joy”–instead, they were all very raw, very real in front of us, and the truth they gave us was that while they are supportive of Keito and they all pray we will be with them in the support, they are all still REALLY REALLY REALLY SAD.While Yama-chan is one of the most phenomenal actors I have ever seen, the truth is–he is HORRIBLE at hiding his own personal feelings–we all know that haha Yama-chan is someone who is very protective and “fatherly” over Keito, and that’s not just another member, that’s one of the most important people in his life–his best friend. I think his response should be measured by the special relationship the two of them have, and we have to know in our hearts that in particular, Yama-chan’s feelings about this would be tempered with his acute love and concern for Keito not as an idol but as one of his most treasured friends. Setting aside any fears or concerns Yama-chan may have on a professional level of the effect this would have on JUMP–I think he’s probably harboring a lot of fears about Keito going–maybe some of the same fears we all have! But at the same time, he’d NEVER be a wall that stood between Keito and his dreams–all he wants, all he’s ever really, truly wanted for ANY of the members, is for them to become the person they’re supposed to be.So, I firmly believe and am POSITIVE he is happy and supportive for Keito, but he just can’t pretend to not be affected, not in front of all of us. It would be impossible for Yama-chan to hide that from us, in fact, I am not sure he would actually TRY to hide that and I am glad for that. It comforts me to know that he and the other members are feeling the loss with me. So today, we were given something special from our boys, something unique that I’m not sure any other group could have done besides them–they presented themselves without their masks, without their idol personas so that they could give us the truth. This is a beautiful gift, and we should all cherish it, because them being affected and showing us this hidden part of themselves, is them trusting us absolutely with their REAL feelings and treating us as equals–as what we all are together today–us, and the JUMP members–together in our love–together being the most beautiful thing we could be.FANS OF KEITO.Be sure to continue to send all your love to JUMP (which still includes Keito even while in NYC)–because they treated all of us as part of their inner circle today, and their faith and trust should make us all feel honored to be a part of their precious fandom! We’ll all get through this time together and will celebrate when Keito returns to all of us stronger, more confident, and ready to blow all of our minds with what he’s done to make JUMP even more amazing than they already are! -- source link
