crimesandcuriosities:The Disappearance of 6-Year-Old Timmothy PitzenOn 11th May, 2011, James Pitzen dropped off his 6 year-old son, Timmothy Pitzen, at kindergarten in Aurora, Illinois. However, this would be the last time he ever saw his son, as Timmothy was to disappear without a trace.Shortly after arriving at school, Timmothy was taken out of class by his mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen, for what she claimed was a “family emergency.” However, this was found to be untrue. It turned out that Amy had spent the rest of that day at a zoo with Timmothy, before driving to a different town and checking them both in to a water park resort. The following day, they then travelled from Illinois to Wisconsin, again visiting another water park. Amy eventually made a phone call to family back home and reassured them that both her and Timmothy were safe, during which the little boy’s voice could be heard in the background. However, it was to be the last time that relatives would hear from either of them. Just 3 days later, on 14th May, Amy was found dead in a motel room after slashing her wrists with a box cutter. However, Timmothy was nowhere to be found. A search of Amy’s car turned up traces of her son’s blood, although this could not confirm foul play as the marks could have been a result of a severe nose bleed which Timmothy had prior to going missing. The only indication of his whereabouts was left behind in a note written by Amy, which read that he was safe and “with people who loved him.” However, to this day, he still has not been found and the fate of Timmothy Pitzen remains unknown. -- source link
