Drake: “Typical Olivia.”Olivia: “Excuse me?”That did it. She turned right back around to confront him. If he wanted her attention, he definitely got it.Drake: “Did I stutter? You’re so damn quick to jump down Liam’s throat for keeping Mason in the dark but you don’t even realize that you’re doing the same thing to me.”Olivia: “What are you babbling about?”Drake: “These little ‘errands’ you like to run. You know, the ones where you disappear for days at a time and I don’t hear from you? I’m talking about you being a hypocrite.”Olivia: “How dare-”Drake: “No. You’re going to shut up and listen, Olivia! We’ve been seeing each other for months now and every time I try to get closer to you, you disappear. No word, nothing for days, sometimes weeks. I’m tired of it.”Olivia: “This isn’t the time or the place for this conversation.”Drake: “You’re not walking away, Olivia. Not this time. Not until you talk to me.” This was beginning to get exhausting. When this whole thing started between them, the rules of the game were to keep things casual and to keep it secret. And that worked for awhile. But then he started getting… clingy. Olivia has always done whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted and answered to no one. Here he was wanting to keep tabs on her and she didn’t like it. Olivia: “Fine. Then I’ll make this short. You know I have obligations, Drake. And sometimes those obligations require a personal touch. There’ll be times when I’m unavailable. And because of this, my… entanglements… need to be flexible. I thought you understood that.”Drake: “So that’s how you see this? You act like giving me any detail of your life is me trying to control you. I’m not trying to do that. I’m not asking you to change your life for me. I just want to be a part of it, even if its a small part. That’s all I’m asking for, Olivia.”There it is. He put his heart on the table. She didn’t know what to say. She enjoyed Drake’s company and she might have even had feelings for him but what he was asking for, she didn’t know if she was capable of giving. The heartbreak she felt after Liam had chosen Naima had left a bad taste in her mouth. Besides, they were too different. He’d just end up leaving anyway and she didn’t want to go through that again. Time to shut this down once and for all.Olivia: “You ask for too much. I think it’s time that this dalliance of ours comes to an end. It was fun but this is beginning to be more trouble than its worth.”Drake: “You wanna call it quits? Fine by me. I was crazy to think that this… us… could ever make it work. You’re too damn stubborn and I…”He started to say something else but changed his mind and headed for the door. Before he left, he had one thing he wanted to say.Drake: “You look beautiful tonight.”He headed out of the room and closed the door. Olivia stood there for a moment in silence, trying to hold back a tear that was threatening to fall. Don’t you DARE cry! She still had to find Naima and let her know what’s going on.
