So I came across this, just around the corner from the hostel I’ve been staying at. It’s the café where JK Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter. When she wasn’t so well off she used to come to the café to keep warm, and they would let her buy one cup of tea and then sit and write all day (was tempted to do the same and see if my novel came to me). The café looks out onto a graveyard, which contains tombstones that she used to name characters in the books (so weird seeing a grave with Tom Riddle on it) So yeah. I’m probably way more excited about this than I should be, but I figured you guys would understand. -- source link
