I love this shot and the whole Bolton Abbey sequence from Series 1 Episode 8. This bit of composition, in particular, is lovely and a little reminiscent (in a more buttoned-up, 1930s sort of way) of “Love Among the Ruins” by Burne-Jones, a painting I’ve always liked. -- source link
