My Childhood: My First BookIn 2001 I was in a gifted program at school that allowed us to do our own special projects, no matter what it was. My first project was to write a book about ghosts. I was 9 years old, so in the long run it wasn’t very good, but it made a huge impact on my life. It was printed and bound, and each class and the library was given a copy. Then, on Halloween, I dressed up and went to each class in the school and read my book to them, and signed the class copy. I was also allowed to make an audio book of it on blank tapes what was added to the library. I owe a lot to my family, my teachers, and my school for allowing me to be myself and feel as if my efforts were worth something. -- source link
