manningeli:i decided to design a fluid sexuality flag! fluid sexuality or being sexually fluid is a sexual orientation in which a person’s sexuality changes over time. for some, this means a sexuality that changes infrequently throughout their life, and for others this means multiple changes per year. abrosexual is a very similar label, but it is lesser known. abrosexuality is also on the asexual spectrum, and there are people who have a fluid sexuality but are not on the asexual spectrum.this flag can apply to a fluid romantic orientation as well.the color yellow represents attraction to nonbinary people, and is a nod to the pansexual flag as many people identify as both pan and sexually fluid, or identify as pansexual because they find it easier than explaining their sexual fluidity.the light yellow stripe paired with the darker yellow stripe represents a fluctuating level of attraction, both with regards to periods of very little or no attraction as well as a changing level of attraction toward certain genders.the pink is mostly for aesthetic purposes in all honesty, and it helps to make the flag look like a sunset. A sunset is a transitory period between day and night, and the colors of the sky are near constantly changing until the sun finally sets. the purple represents attraction to men and women, and is a nod to the bisexual flag. like pansexuality, many sexually fluid people identify as bisexual in addition to or instead of sexually fluid.the dark, purplish gray represents this sexuality being a gray area. it’s somewhat hard to describe what this color actually is; is it purple, gray, black? sexual fluidity can be very similarly hard to pin down. this dark color also represent attraction to no one, as many sexually fluid people go through periods of not experiencing attraction at all.i’ve heard plenty of well known people (like Keke Palmer, Miley Cyrus, Cara Delvigne) identify as having a fluid sexuality, and i was really surprised that the only flag i could find was the abrosexual one. if people like this, i hope they can use it however they want!! -- source link
