I’ve been doing a lot of stuff that’s more physical than digital and less straight up drawing. Some cool looking stuff, honestly, but for some reason just felt like it wasn’t worth posting to my art blog.I decided that’s also kinda bullshit and wanted to share some of the stuff I’ve been working on or some cool reference pictures I’ve taken. I also have a re-animate shot for Game Over: Reanimated I did that came out last month. But anyway, things I’ve been dabbling in this year: A lot of origami and papercraft, knotted and beaded bracelets, I’ve become a crazy succulent lady (recently branching off to acquiring an orchid and bamboo, now trying my hand at propagation), macrame, beginning some woodwork, getting back into knitting, make up, focusing on piano, and honestly a lot of writing. What I’m looking forward to is getting back to some original work and comics (I currently have an original script over 300 pages long I’ve written between the beginning of July and now), jewelry making (resin & wire as well as getting better at knotted bracelets), sewing, and some more woodwork. Really I just need to clear some space in my room, get another table or desk in there for crafting away from my computer and tablet, and I can pursue some messier things. :yBut right now… I have jars and jars of lucky stars. These pics are 50 in a small candle cup, a large candle jar can hold 500.This year I have also revisited a lot of my old work via scanning, drawing on inspiration from my younger self, seeing things I used to do in my work I’ve been wanting to do with my current work, finding things I have no memory of making, and seeing where I was lacking back then that I’m not now. -- source link
