The .22 lr Beretta Model 21A Bobcat—My little baby. The Beretta Bobcat is special to me not just because it is a pocket pistol, but because one can usually be found in my pocket at any given time. I’m sure Gunblr will scoff at me for carrying a measly .22lr peashooter. But it works for me and after intensive training and practice I have become a master shooter with it. I carry mine in a pocket holster, and it goes with me everywhere..22 ammo is cheap and I can shoot it all day, everyday. I usually practice special pocket pistol tactics at least 3 times a week. Most recommend high velocity ammo for peak functioning performance, but I found almost all ammo, cheap or expensive works reliably, it will rarely jam, no matter what. (At first it will jam, but after a 100 rounds or so it will wear in) It has little recoil so I can shoot it super fast and still stay on target. And man is it accurate, and I mean killing small game accurate. At 25 yards I can effortlessly keep an 8 shot group (it has an 7+1 capacity) in an area the size of a baseball. Unlike most pocket pistols and subcompacts it has range and can reach out accuratly up to 40 yards. The most interesting feature of the gun is the tip up barrel. This makes it easy to load without racking the slide, safety check, and clean. It is a semi-auto pistol, many people say, “but it only has one shot” when I show it, so I again stress, it is a semi auto pistol. It has no extractor, empty cartridges are ejected out of the chamber through the force of the gunshot (Newton-equally opposite reaction)Breakdown is easy, simply tip up the barrel and remove the slide– no removing pins, not loosening screws, a trained chimp could do it. It has a first shot double action trigger with single action for the remaining shots. This is a brilliant little gun, and with care it will last a lifetime and may even last your grandchildren’s lifetime. It is well made, reliable, I do not recommend it for CCW unless you are an experienced shooter trained to defend yourself with small caliber pocket pistols, I would recommend it for a good plinking or backpacking gun.It also comes in .25 acp and a similar model called the Tomcat is made in .32acp.I got mine for around $250. Expect to Pay $250-$300. -- source link
