Now that Disney owns the rights to both Marvel and Lucasfilm, there has been a fair amount of talk about the absolutely incredible game that could be made if the characters from all the Disney franchises were put together in one location and forced to battle it out. Since Playstation All Stars has hit the shelves, it might seem like Disney would just be jumping on the bandwagon, but looking at the line-up of potential characters it’s safe to say it would be incredible if handled correctly (Darth Vader vs Wolverine vs Jack Skellington vs Buzz Lightyear would send me into a fanboy meltdown). Given that it’s most likely an insane pipedream, I’ve instead comforted myself by making a wishlist of 10 of the characters I’d want to see in the next instalment of Smash Bros for the Wii U. 10. Toad – It just wouldn’t be a Smash Bros game without a few Mario characters getting shoehorned in, and while Toad as an individual seems to have been all but replaced by the Toads as a race, I still think he’d be a great (if somewhat expected) addition. 9. Little Mac – He showed up as an Assist Trophy in Brawl, so it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to push him up into the main cast. He wouldn’t need to be too creative moveset-wise but would hopefully still offer up a unique style of fighting. 8. Krystal – Fans have been asking for her to join the roster alongside Fox since the early days and now that Falco and Wolf have been introduced, it isn’t exactly outlandish to expect a new Star Fox character in SB4 (dear god, please not Slippy…). 7. Zoroark – Lucario was essentially a redressed version of Mewtwo, and I can see Zoroark quickly going down that path as well. One thing would set him apart though, which is my reason for including him –his Illusion ability. I’d love to see how would be handled; having him appear as a different character could be game-changing for the unprepared. 6. King K. Rool/Dixie Kong – The roster needs more characters from Donkey Kong, and either one would be great. I think K. Rool would be a great character to round out the list of big, strong villains (Bowser, Ganondorf, King Dedede) and Dixie Kong would have the potential for a great and creative moveset in addition to her hover ponytail. 5. Kamek – I would include him purely for the broomstick. I know that it would be nearly impossible to implement in a game that’s all about ring-outs, but a character that can actually fly rather than puff about would be a gimmicky but interesting twist. 4. Amaterasu – I’m not entirely sure this would even be feasible given that Okami is owned by Capcom, but I can’t see how her inclusion would be anything other than amazing. The brushstrokes would make beautiful special moves possible and her art design would help her stand out even more. 3. Megaman – Similar to Amaterasu, I’m not sure the licensing would allow him to participate, but there was an insane amount of speculation that he would be included in Brawl. It would be tricky to have him fit in with the Nintendo characters artistically, but it would be incredible if pulled off. 2. Midna – Twilight Princess is getting a little old now, and while Ghirahim might be a more popular choice, I don’t see him doing anything particularly unique, while Midna (especially if riding Wolf Link) would be a completely distinctive character. If they don’t want to include her, I will gladly settle for Epona as a playable character (wait, is it too late to change my choice?) 1. Finn and Jake – This one is way outside the realms of possibility, but I can still dream. I see them working either as a duo with Finn on Jake’s back, or as a tag team with Jake being more versatile and Finn more practical. Even if they were absolutely terrible, their existence would bring me endless joy. -- source link
