enigmaticliv: journal 027 | 12.18.19 ♪ | writer in the dark | lorde Explored an antique bookstore today and came home with two beautiful new friends: a collection of short stories and poems by Oscar Wilde and Uncle Tom’s Cabin. The wonderful owner said, “Because you love reading so much, we’re giving you a discount!” She showed me the most beautifully bound editions of Dante’s Divine Comedy and honestly I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been thinking about it all day, haha! I might just escape society and live the rest of my life in a little bookstore tucked away in a corner of Brooklyn next to a coffee shop with my cat. Let me know if you want to join me!! Everyone is welcome, haha!! My friend is headed to Paris and the Congo for a few weeks and I’m going to miss being able to text her constantly. She’s the one person in the world who I feel truly truly understands me. I don’t know if anyone will understand me in the way she does, even my future husband. And I feel incredibly lucky to know her, because some people (especially enneagram 4′s like myself) go their entire life with no one who understands and completely accepts them, but I’ve found at least one person who loves and accepts me exactly the way I am! I miss her desperately. But I know that she’s a forever friend. Wherever we end up in the world, we’ll still be close and trust each other with everything. I’m so incredibly grateful for her friendship because I truly believe friendships like ours don’t just occur randomly. Anyway, if you happen to see this, I love you and I’m grateful for you!! Safe travels dear friend, send me so many pictures <3 - -- source link
