When we didn’t make progress it wasn’t always his fault. I had to train myself to look at him differently. We invented all kind of rules to remind me of his status. I taught him to stand in a neutral stance with his legs slightly spread and his eyes downcast whenever I was speaking to another woman. Seeing him take this position reminded me that I could ignore him in conversation. It’s why I make him wear a “uniform.” It reminds both of us to behave appropriately for our different places. …………. i have a couple of men who want me to take charge of their lives on line for the next four weeks.
