The one on the lower left shows Rose reaching out with tears in her eyes similarly to how Steven reached for Peridot in his dream, as though desperately afraid to be left behind. Next to her, on the right and slightly behind her foreshortened figure, is a closeup of Rose with tears in her eyes and a tight frown as though witness to something sad that can’t be changed. The expression is inspired by the scene where Steven realizes Lars is dead, though her expression is less shocked and more resigned. It’s hard to describe the expression, but it’s a bit like how someone would look if they witnessed one of their loved ones sacrifice a part of themselves in order to prevent something worse from happening, a moment of pause where you realize that despite your best efforts, you unintentionally put them in this situation in the first place just because of who you are. The final doodle is to the left of this one, directly above and slightly behind the first image of Rose reaching out. Here, Rose is visibly agitated with her shoulders hunched up defensively and her teeth gritted. She looks more on edge than truly angry, though she could be getting there.
