Next, a clamp that looks like tongs is used to squish the penis flatter, to make the piercing straighter and easier to see where the entrance and exit holes should be for the needle. Some piercers will do this freehand, without clamps. Next, the needle is pushed through. A slight pinch on the underside where the tissue is very thin, and a bit more tough going thru the top.
