I HATE MOTIVATION I have a confession to make. I hate motivation. I hate it when people tell me - I don’t have motivation, help me find it. Guys, if you’re starting a new routine, or acquiring a new skill, motivation is going to fail you at some point. If I relied on motivation too much I would have failed too many times. Motivation is overrated. Boring, small, everyday actions and routines are so much underrated. I mean what’s spectacular about starting to exercise 15 min per day? What’s so inspirational about that? Like literally nothing. People spend hours in the gym lol, so I need to find some motivation urgently to help me spend few hours in the gym. What’s so motivational about ordering salad instead of rice or French fries right here and now? Right here and now I want some joy, who cares about French fries, it won’t make a big difference anyway. And then I try to boost myself with motivation, watching “motivational” videos about people who work out for hours and are in a great shape. And then I do charge my motivational battery for some time until it gets empty (which usually doesn’t last too long), and then I have to look for some other ways or sources for more motivation. Small choices here and now make big difference. Small actions here and now on an everyday basis are stronger than any of the motivational boosts. That extra glass of water per day is a life changer. That 15 minutes workout 3 times per week consistently is huge. If you can make that one action here and now, you’ve already got that motivation. #motivation (at Saudi Arabia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXxi2JkImEI/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
