sinethetamagazine:Grey Parrot by Zhang Enli (张恩利). Oil on canvas. 2017.Painter Zhang Enli is a graduate of the Arts & Design Institute of Wuxi Technical University from Jilin, China. He is the first Chinese artist to take part in K11 Art Foundation and The Royal Academy of Arts’ artist-in-residence program. Zhang currently teaches at the Arts and Design Institute of Donghua University.Grey Parrot is a more abstract departure from his signature depictions of prosaic, commonplace objects in daily life. This piece was featured in Zhang’s 2017 exhibition ‘The Garden,’ which was composed of pieces inspired by “the gardens that punctuate the industrialized cityscape of Shanghai.” With swirling curves and amibuous subjects, Zhang’s more recent works articulate color and organic form in capturing nature.Follow sinθ magazine for more daily posts about Sino arts and culture. -- source link
