novemberandmisfit: HELP! If you are in the Madison Wisconsin area, Misfit has flown outside. We are trying to find him. He got out around 4:00pm. My boyfriend was coming inside and Misfit was spooked and flew out of the room and out the door. We are very frantic. UPDATE: I left work to come help find my feather baby. After walking around for a few minutes I found him sitting very high in a tree. I immediately called over my boyfriend and his mother to try and get misfit back. The wind blew, and he got scared and took off. We searched for another two hours, and this time it was my boyfriend who called me and said he found our baby. I got to the location ASAP. My boyfriend climbed the tree and was able to get Misfit to step up. A couple from across the street brought over a ladder, and the woman climbed it to take the bird from my boyfriend and hand him to me. (I didn’t climb as I was holding up a perch for him to land on if he decided to fly again). Misfit bit the lady very hard but she didn’t let him go. I’m beyond grateful for her bravery helping a creature she has never met. I brought Misfit to the car and we drove back home. Our bird is perfectly okay, it seems no harm has been done. He’s just a bit shaken up. Thank you so much for spreading our message. I knew this community would be willing to offer its help. I see missing bird posts a lot and always silently thank the universe that my babies are safe. However, that took a turn very quickly and I can very much empathize with the sadness and fear that comes with losing a bird. Once again, thank you to everyone who helped ❤️ -- source link
