Ghourian Ikoda. ReferenceSo, I once said that there is an anomalous race of ghourians in the world of Arcus. I was even so inspired by the concept that I decided to create a reference of one “typical” representative of this race, although, by and large, all representatives of this race are different from each other, no two individuals are alike.Ghourians are a mutational form of axolotls. Their origin dates back to recent times, when people began to actively study atomic and chemical energy, and, accordingly, to dump production waste into water bodies. Axolotls, who lived in one of the reservoirs, were saturated with this waste and began to mutate, but the mutation did not reach the end - each new generation, each new born individual has some of its own unique features that adapt it to certain living conditions. But do they, the ghourians, have something in common that distinguishes them from other animals?Well, firstly, it is the body’s variability during strong negative emotions - pain, fear, anger, disgust, hatred. When they experience such emotions, their cells begin to divide at a phenomenal rate, increasing their size, as well as changing some organ structures at the genetic level. It is very difficult to calm ghourians in such a state only if they are offered something to eat. True, they can also eat you during a meal, since they are now large, so you need to be careful in this regard.Secondly, they necessarily have dreadlocks on their heads. What makes this hair look like this. Also, such processes can be on the back and in the tail area. This is only in the most “normal” representatives of their species, which in general is a very small percentage.Thirdly, they devour absolutely everything that has at least some nutritional value for them. Usually they feed on organic matter, but in a period of “crisis” and lack of food, they can also eat inorganic, but in such a case they also have an “emergency” method of feeding - cannibalism. Moreover, cannibalism is a very common type of nutrition, especially during a certain period of breeding, which I will talk about next time! This ghourian is Ikoda, who has adopted some of the features of lizards and fish. So he is partly reptilian and partly amphibious. He is not able to swim for very long. The additional two eyes on the sides of the main one are not visual, but rather thermal imagers for finding animal food. Like all ghourians, it is omnivorous, but prefers small animals (rodents, chicks, fish and small birds). -- source link
