jailorsblog: After putting on her uniform for the first time, the new inmate is handcuffed tightly behind her back, and escorted to her cell. This will be the first time she actually sees the small grey box, with only a bed and toilet that shall be her home for the following years that make up her sentence. The guard pushes he into the cell, and slams it shut behind her. The inmate turns to watch as the door is locked for the first time behind her. 24 hours a day she will be locked in here. The only time she will be out of her cell will be when a guard escorts her to the shower block every other day, or if she is being administered solitary confinement, or corporal punishment.
