Sea anemones are predatory aquatic invertebrates. They are attached to an underwater surface
Sea anemones are predatory aquatic invertebrates. They are attached to an underwater surface with an adhesive foot (basal disk), with a top surrounded by tentacles. They use their tentacles to stun prey as for defence from larger predators. They also have another method to avoid predators. They usually stay in the same place, but if disturbed, anemones can release from their current attachment and flex their foot to help them swimming away from danger. -- source link
