The real question is whether or not any human has the right to use someone else’s body for survival. And the answer is no. And the analogy with the IVF clinic doesn’t compare one child to one zygote. The choice is between saving one toddler and a tank that holds dozens of zygotes. Anti-choicers supposedly believe that dozens of zygotes are dozens of children, and picking up a tank of dozens of zygotic children is just as easy as picking up a 3-year-old. So the question for an anti-choicer becomes “do I save dozens of children or one child?” And the question should be easy for them to answer, because clearly saving dozens of children is better than saving just one child. But they never adequately answer this question, because they’d be exposed as being full of shit, which we all knew already. -- source link
