As usual the Doctor misses the point but what a great little touch the poster makes to the set.Barbara suddenly notices it and her whole perception of the place suddenly changes, then she sees the body floating in the Thames, and realises something devastating has happened to her home. Ian and the Doctor discover it a bit later after seeing the flying saucer, and it’s Ian who comes to the conclusion that this is more than an alien attack. The way he utters ‘Bring out your dead’ is so chilling. -- source link
